How do I move or copy rows of Assignment data within the same eClass Class file?

A simple 'Copy & Paste' procedure enables you to copy rows of data, while a simple 'Cut & Paste' enables you to move them. As a precaution, it is a good idea to save your Class file just before copying, cutting or clearing rows of data.

1) Go to the Assignments window, and select (highlight) the row you wish to move or copy by clicking on the row's number.

To select multiple rows, click on row numbers while holding down the [Command] key. If you press the [Shift] instead of the [Command] key, groups of rows will become highlighted. For example, if you click on row 3 and then row 12, the group of rows in between (and including) 3 and 12 will become highlighted.

2) To copy a row, select 'Copy' from in the Edit menu. -or-

To move a row, select 'Cut' from the Edit menu. (This will delete the selected row and store its contents in a temporary storage area called the Clipboard, where they will remain until you next use 'Cut' or 'Copy'.)

3) Click to place your cursor, then select 'Paste' from the Edit menu. The student or assignment data you've cut or copied will be pasted into a position immediately above the active cell (where your cursor is). The row containing the active cell, and all rows below it, will be moved down to make room for the new row(s). All scores will be moved accordingly.
