PowerTeacher Gradebook: Teacher Grade Verification Process
During the Marking Period:
1. Verify that you have setup each of your courses in PowerTeacher Gradebook to use the correct Term Weights for your course/section, and correct Category Weights for your specific subject area (if applicable). If you have any questions regarding how to setup your PowerTeacher Gradebook for Term Weights and Category Weights, please see the TechNote here.
2. Enter your assignments and scores into PowerTeacher Gradebook for all current classes.
3. Check student's final grades for each reporting term (such as Q1, M1, F1, Y1).
......
As you near the end of the Marking Period:
1. Continue entering your assignments and scores into PowerTeacher Gradebook for all current classes.
2. Re-check student's final grades for each reporting term (such as Q1, M1, F1, Y1).
3. Enter Comments/Citizenship in the reporting term Q1 or Q2 or Q3 or Q4 final grade area only (more info on entering comments/citizenship grades is available here).
4. Any grades that will be reported as Incomplete (Inc) require faculty to temporarily override the percentage grade with a letter grade of Inc. (more info on issuing an Incomplete is available here).
5. Your campus guidance staff/principal will be distributing a Grade Verification Report to you, and they will determine cut-off dates for all PowerTeacher Gradebook data entry for the marking period.
a. This Grade Verification Report will show the grades and percentages your students will receive for each reporting term of the current marking period (such as Q1, M1, F1, Y1).
b. Verify that the information is correct on the Grade Verification Report for all current classes.
c. Circle any incorrect information and note change(s).
d. Make corrections in your PowerTeacher Gradebook.
e. Your campus guidance staff may reprint the reports after you've made corrections (or they may elect to use your existing marked-up Grade Verification Report and avoid a reprint).
f. Sign and return Grade Verification Reports to your campus guidance staff, noting that your grades for the marking period are complete.
